► First Responder Addiction Coach
After your application has been reviewed and fully approved, representatives from WVARR will schedule an online, video (Zoom, Go-to-Meeting, or another https://ecosoberhouse.com/ online platform) interview with your organization. The WVARR reviewers will be available to answer any questions about the quality standards or the review process. Official recommendations will be communicated to you by WVARR staff members at that time.
Recovery Residence Administrators and Recovery Residences
While we are not a licensing authority nor the “recovery residence police,” our mission is to support providers in achieving excellence. Our certification team, comprised of trained administrative and field personnel, collaborates openly with applicants. Through transparent communication, we guide owners, managers, and staff to meet the required standards. At FARR, we’re committed to ensuring that recovery residences across Florida provide safe, stable, and supportive housing. VARR presents a collaborative voice for recovery residences throughout our Commonwealth and works to ensure that everyone in recovery is able to access programs that offer high quality recovery residences. You will be recovery residence required to respond to these recommendations within 20 business days.

Certified Recovery Residence Administrator (CRRA)
WVARR staff will travel on-site to all residences operated by your organization. WVARR staff will send you a Pre-Inspection Checklist prior to your On-Site Visit. We strongly encourage you to walk through all buildings with this checklist and the standards in mind before we visit your facilities. Once your application has been fully approved, we will schedule an interview (Step 9) Sober living house with your organization.
Levels (Types) of Recovery Residences
As the organization grew, federal funds became available via SOR grants (State Opioid Response) with a small contribution from the Maine General Fund. MARR also receives philanthropic support from community organizations, charitable foundations, and public donations. While MARR conducts annual inspections, we can and do perform unannounced visits in certain situations.

These settings offer a homelike environment for residents and promote diversity, equity, and inclusion for all applicants. Designed for recovery residence operators and managers, below is a list of current online training programs available to purchase. The program awards 100 hours of accredited education, delivered through a concise, board-approved training manual. Most students complete it within two to three weeks, but you have six months of access to work at your own pace.

MARR inspections are strict when it comes to fire safety equipment, such as working smoke alarms in every bedroom, fire extinguishers on every floor, fire exits, and working carbon monoxide alarms. Our Alcohol and Drug Counselor Certificate Program is specifically designed to meet the educational requirements for drug counselor certification. Each course is focused on required content as specified by the 12 Core functions as required by state regulations and International Certification and Reciprocity Consortium (IC & RC) standards. Recovery Residences are the first recovery support service to be certified in New York. The implementation of Part 860 Recovery Residencies Regulations (PDF) on September 25, 2024, represents a significant step forward for recovery support.
